SKE NEWS

Summer 2011
SKE is proud to announce that Edward M. Weber has recently achieved the prestigious status of Master Heavy Duty Truck Technician through the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). In order to achieve this status, Mr. Weber had to successfully pass eight challenging certification tests specifically geared to test a technician's competency in current technology, including air brake systems, suspension and steering, drive train, and other heavy duty truck technologies. Mr. Weber has already been recognized for his successful certification as a Master Automobile Technician, as well as his certification as an Advanced Level Specialist by ASE. Very few technicians in the field of automotive technology become certified in multiple areas of expertise like Mr. Weber. In addition to his technical expertise, Ed has advanced training in crash reconstruction. He has been a member of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit since 1990. As a member of this unit he has taken part in the investigation of hundreds of high profile crash investigations. He is accredited through the Accreditation Commission on Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). Ed has published material on the subject of crash reconstruction as it pertains to automotive technology. He provides lectures on topics that include mechanical issues and sudden acceleration to audiences on the east coast of the United States, as they relate to crash investigations and reconstruction. He has provided his technical expertise to prosecutor's offices throughout the state of New Jersey, and expert testimony in crash reconstruction, automotive technology and sudden acceleration incidents. We are unaware of any other crash reconstructionist/forensic technician with Mr. Weber's qualifications in the United States. ASE CertifiedACTAR Accredited
