Mr. Karpovich (Karp) is proud to Partner with Steve Emolo and John Scott to form SKE Forensic Consultants after a close working relationship with them for nearly twenty years as the three senior reconstructionists formerly of JDA.


After spending nearly a decade in law enforcement with a focus in collision analysis and reconstruction, John pursued a career in the private sector to further his knowledge and experience while employed at a traffic engineering and accident reconstruction firm for nearly 20 years. Mr. Karpovich holds the distinguished honor of being one of seventeen individuals to pass the first A.C.T.A.R. exam ever offered. He remains currently certified as an accident reconstructionist after earning his full accreditation in 1992. John’s expert testimony has been accepted in Superior Courts in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Mr. Karpovich has taken numerous training courses and reconstructed collisions throughout the country. Mr. Karpovich continues to excel in the collision reconstruction field by fabricating tools, props and devices that have become commonplace in the profession. Motorcycle reconstruction has become one of his specialties where he applies over 30 years of motorcycle riding experience along with specialized training

In addition to being an avid motorcyclist, John is an experienced photographer and distance runner accomplishing the completion of several marathons. John resides in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey with his wife Maryanne. His son Derek and daughter Alisse, both attend college in North Carolina.
